I Guess That’s Why They Call it the Blues

Rocking Sock is a wonderfully soft superwash merino base. It is 75% Superfine superwash merino and 25% Nylon. This is a really durable and reliable blend.

75% merino wool and 25% nylon is my absolute favorite for socks. Soft enough to be worn against your skin all day long, and thanks to the nylon, strong enough to hold up for a very long time. Added bonus, wool wicks away moisture, so making camping socks out of this merino wool is ideal.

I Guess That’s Why They Call it the Blues

I Guess That’s Why They Call it the Blues was one of my colorways in which I was going for a specific idea. Last year’s pantone color of the year, coral, has me obsessed. When 2020 hit, I looked up the color of the year and it turns out it is “Classic Blue”. Classic blue was the color I was striving for in this colorway.

I named it before I dyed it and although I am not quite sure I got the perfect classic blue, I definitely love this tonal yarn that pops when with bright colors. It happens to be the perfect light denim color. This is a great color to wear with dark jeans or grey leggings. It is a great fall and winter type color and can be worn to dress up or down an outfit. I can see it as all the accessories!

One of the crochet projects I have seen that I think would be perfect for this colorway is River Ripples Bag by Periwinkle Crochet.

In any case, like Blue Jeans, I think this color would go well with just about everything!

A little about my colorways: I name all of my colorways for song or lyrics. Music is a huge love of my life, as are the fiber arts. If you aren’t sure what lyric or song the yarn you get is named after, it is kind of fun to go take a listen or to look up the artist. 🙂

Some Colors I think Would go well with I Guess That’s Why They Call it the Blues:

Blue Oyster CultCategories

Love Potion #9

Brown Eyed Girl

Sugar, Sugar

Orange Crush

Purple Rain

Cake by the Ocean

Life on Mars
